Virtual Exposure Resources

While using videos for exposure isn't a perfect solution, it still offers valuable practice that is far better than having no exposure at all. To get the most out of these exercises, contact your therapist who can help you tailor your exposure and learning activities to fit your needs. Please note that the videos linked here are not owned by the me. They are available on YouTube and some links may be removed from time to time. I update my inks every six months. You should use large screen (no phone!) for an immersive experience. Some videos provide a 360-degree view. Links to call centre noise and argument sounds are meant as audio only. You don't need to watch these but rather play them loudly in the background while you do another task. This helps with attention training and getting used to noisy environments.

Fear of Public Speaking

Speaking in public can be daunting.  Below you can find links to YouTube videos of simulated audiences to help you build tolerance to people's reactions through exposure.

Remember: When preparing for a presentation the goal is to go through the presentation even if you feel uncomfortable.  If you focus on eliminating discomfort, you are likely to be less effective and start avoiding again.

Fear of Flying

For many people the fear of flying is less about fear of an accident and more about fear that they will not be able to tolerate the experience of being on a plane.  Below is a series of YouTube videos that can help you experience the cabin before you find yourself inside.
